1/2 cup pop corn unpopped 3 Tbsp. oil 1/4 sugar 1/8 cup water Salt to taste
Measure oil and 2 or 3 kernels of corn into a heavy bottom pan. Cover and turn heat to medium high and wait until kernels pop. When the kernels pop add the rest of the corn, the sugar and the water into the pan. Shake pan to mix the ingredients well. Cover with the lid slightly ajar, to allow steam to escape. Allow corn to cook until kernels start to pop. Start to shake the pan until popping stops. Turn corn onto a large baking sheet and add salt. Allow to cool and break apart.
